Application Process

Thank you for your interest in applying to Marhaba. Our 2008 application process is now closed. Please check back in 2009 for information about applying next summer.

Marhaba is pleased to offer one $500 (USD) scholarship for a
volunteer in either Program 1 or Program 2. The scholarship will be awarded on two criteria: (1) financial need (2) diversity.

To apply, please include a letter with your application addressing your (and, if applicable, your family's) financial situation and any aspect of your background that would
bring an element of diversity to Marhaba, studies of the Middle East, and/or international development. Feel free to include relevant documentation, such as a copy of the FAFSA or a financial aid record. Applying for the scholarship will in no way affect your chances of admission into the program.

The following materials must be included in with your application:
• 2 recommendation letters.
• 2 passport sized photos
• A copy of the page in your passport that includes your photo and identification information

Please note
After we have received the soft copies of your application and both recommendation letters, we will send you a confirmation email. We may then contact you for a phone interview. We will inform all applicants of their status in late March.
