Application Process

Thank you for your interest in Marhaba! Our 2010 application process is now open. Admissions are rolling, so submit your application as soon as possible. The final deadline for applications is April 1.

Marhaba is pleased to offer two scholarships of up to $1000 for volunteers in either Program 1 or Program 2.

To apply for a scholarship, please include a letter with your application addressing your financial situation and background, with particular emphasis on what experiences you would bring to the group. There is no ‘ideal’ volunteer. We are looking for a group with varied backgrounds and skills: a mix of people who have traveled the world and those who need to apply for their first passport, people who have lived in Egypt and those who are new to the region, people majoring in Arabic, drama, and anything in between.

Please include relevant documentation, including a FAFSA and financial aid record if you are currently enrolled in school. If you are not currently a student, you may include tax returns or any other documentation that shows your financial situation. In your letter, please indicate how you plan to pay for the program if you do not receive a scholarship.

Applying for scholarships will not affect admission into the program.
